Are you someone who loves the idea of camping, but “roughing it” is not your idea of a good time? What if we told you there is a way you can experience the magic of the Great Outdoors without sacrificing creature comforts? Enter: Glamping. Where you get to be carefree, adventurous, enveloped in nature, and also:
Escape.
Indulge.
Luxuriate.
Glamping is the type of trip you’ve been craving. The luxurious and comfortable way to experience the restorative qualities of the outdoors without sacrificing modern conveniences and comfort.
What is Glamping?
Glamping, a portmanteau of the words “glamorous” and “camping”, is a style of camping in more enticing, sturdier structures accompanied by hotel or resort-like amenities. Added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2016, the word might be new, but the concept of luxurious tent living is far from new. For centuries, royals and nomads have been living the high life en plein air. Picture the Bedouins of the North African desert. Or the Mongolians in their yurts. Or the Turkish Ottoman military campaigns outfitted with imperial tents. Or the diplomatic excursions of kings and queens of the United Kingdom and France. Or the popularity of African safaris in the early 20th century. The simplicity and convenience of camping enriched with comfort and luxury is a tale as old as time. But now, thanks to its rise in popularity and a worldwide glamping movement, luxury tent living is now accessible to all of us.
Glamping is a unique and luxurious way to immerse yourself in the great outdoors. It combines the best of camping with the comforts of home, providing guests with all the amenities they need for a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable outdoor experience. Unlike traditional camping, glamping accommodations are designed to be easy, luxurious, and comfortable. You can ditch the leaky tent, the musty sleeping bag, and all the hard work for plush bedding, electricity, and hot showers.
What’s To Love About Glamping?
What’s not to love? Imagine kicking off a camping weekend without a hanger-fueled argument over which pole goes where because the tent has already been pitched. People love glamping and plan their glamping trips for a variety of reasons. Some enjoy the novelty of staying in unique and unusual accommodations, while others appreciate the luxurious amenities that glamping provides. But glamping is so much more than a nice tent.
We love glamping because it provides a needed break from the daily grind. Glamping in the winery-studded Finger Lakes region surrounds us with glacier-carved hills and lakes, babbling brooks, tree-lined trails, a star-studded ink-black night sky, and the soothing sounds and warmth of a crackling campfire. It trips life down to the bare essentials and allows us to unplug and live simply.
But do you know what else we love? A comfy mattress. Running water. Furniture and ambient lighting. We want to have fun and get back to nature, without the hassle of a campsite to set up, break down, and pack up again. We want style. We want luxury. We want to feel like gallivanting kings and queens as they traversed the French countryside.
What is a Glamping Tent?
A breathtaking balance of style and wild, every tent at Naturluxe & Stars is meticulously designed with resplendent furnishings and everything needed to ensure exceptional comfort and peace of mind. Three different styles of glamping tents are 100% cotton canvas with mesh screen windows and mesh screen doors/canvas tie-back doors. Every tent is furnished with nightstands, lamps, and beds complete with plush mattresses, down alternative pillows, bed linens, and down alternate comforters. They also are furnished with indoor/outdoor area rugs, fluffy bath towels, luggage racks, and clothes drying racks. Make yourself at home in the cozy reading chair and get lost in a book. Cooling floor fans ensure you never wake up in a stuffy tent. Electric outlets or battery packs keep your tent adequately lit, and sufficiently cool, and allow you to charge your phone for the hundreds of can’t-miss photo ops a glamping trip inspires. Our most luxurious tents are outfitted with in-tent bathrooms. Some are located in the woods along a mulch trail path providing the true nature experience. Others are fixed around a community circle open area, overlooking Seneca Lake valley and closest to Watkins Glen International Racetrack.
